Close Combat Magazine will update its website weekly and produce a newsletter and digital copy of the publication will be available for download periodically. A hard copy of the publication will print three times a year.
Close Combat Magazine was founded by Kajukenbo Gaylord Method Grandmaster Armando Saldana. Saldana has over 40 years of experience in Karate and Kajukenbo Gaylord Method. His school is based in Mercedes, Texas.
Close Combat Magazine is an idea developed by Raul Garcia Jr. Garcia, a trained award wining journalist, who has trained in martial arts with various teachers (John Valdivia, Kenbo Karate; Manuel Lozano, Kuk Sool Won; Tammy Williams-Timlin, Dan Timlin’s Mid Michigan Academy of Mixed Martial Arts) and styles during his life, and is currently a student of Kajukenbo Gaylord Method Grandmaster Armando Saldana.
