The World of Martial Arts in the Rio Grande Valley keeps getting stronger, and Missions’ Red Dragon Kajukenbo Institute is helping make it happen.

“Grand Master Paulino Martin Perez will be teaching a self defense seminar at the only “KCC” Official dojo in the entire United States of America located in Mission, Texas,” said Fred Perez, Red Dragon Kajukenbo Institute Chief Instructor and KCC Delegate. “The seminar will consist of “KCC” martial arts curriculum and Eskrima (Filipino Martial Arts). It’s going to be a one of a kind self defense seminar from the best Kajukenbo instructor in the world.”

Chief Instructor Perez said it will be the first time Grandmaster Paulino Perez teaches the eskrima program for the Rio Grande Valley marital artists to learn. “We are going to practice single stick, double stick and knife techniques, Filipino style,” Perez continued. “It’s an opportunity to train and have fun.”

This is not the first time Grandmaster Paulino Perez travels to the Rio Grande Valley. He has been here before. His last visit was in 2018.

“He loves it here, its the Mecca of Kajukenbo and he’s glad he feels right at home,” Chief Instructor Perez said. “We’re looking at a system that evolved from the original system and added Latin Mentality, with faster techniques and more moves to the system.” Times have changed, and if you need to take a fight to the ground you want to finish the fight quickly and go home. That is what you are going to learn at this training.”
